Policies and Procedures

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Contact a DRAW MY HOME representative to order a floor plan package.  Draw My Home will ask you for some basic information on the property and give you a quote for the project.
  2. If you have an updated, pre-existing floor plan, please let us know and we can arrange a way for the floor plan to be delivered to us.  If you don't have a floor plan, we'll schedule time to meet at the property, take measurements, and sketch the layout of the home.  Depending on the size of the home, this can take up to an hour and a half.
  3. We will recreate the floor plan and send you a first draft (PDF format) within 3 business days.
  4. Please review the first draft with your clients for floor plan accuracy and send us any final corrections.  You have one round of edits at no additional charge!
  5. Within 24 hours of receiving any final corrections, we will send you a final, printable PDF brochure and JPEG images for each level depending on the package. 
  6. If you ordered an Online Virtual Tour, send us the photos of the home and the MLS number.  We will build the interactive floor plan, send you the customized website address, and upload it directly to MRIS. 
     

Please be advised that the PDF file and images can only be used for the property for which they are purchased.  Clients may not use the PDF file and images for any additional properties with similar floor plans without express written consent of DRAW MY HOME LLC.


Payment

New Customers:
To ensure our clients feel comfortable with DRAW MY HOME's service, we will not asked for payment upfront (unless payment is in the form of a check).  Payment will not be due until step 4 in the Step-By-Step Process listed above is completed.  Once any final corrections are sent to DRAW MY HOME, you will receive an invoice via email that will have a link to a PayPal credit card information screen.  You do NOT have to have an account with PayPal to complete the transaction.  If you prefer to pay by check, you must bring a check made out to DRAW MY HOME LLC to your scheduled appointment.  The check will not be deposited until the project is complete; however we must have payment in hand in order to send along the final PDF and JPEG images.  Checks sent by mail can delay the process by two days or more.

Repeat Customers:
Payment will be needed before DRAW MY HOME begins working on your floor plan.  Once an appointment is scheduled, you can choose to pay with a credit card or by check.  If paying by credit card, DRAW MY HOME will send you an invoice via email that will have a link to a PayPal credit card information screen.  You do NOT have to have an account with PayPal to complete the transaction.  If you prefer to pay by check, please bring a check made out to DRAW MY HOME LLC to your scheduled appointment.  The check will not be deposited until the project is complete.   

Online Floor Plan Tour

The online floor plan tour will remain active until the property is sold.  Upon the sale of the property, the URL of the online floor plan tour will no longer be active.  If you would like for the online floor plan tour to remain active, there will be an addition $25 charge each year beyond the sale of the property.

Rush Orders

If you need a first draft within 24 hours after visiting the property, DRAW MY HOME is happy to accommodate.  There will be an additional $50 charge.

Additional Edits

Each floor plan order includes one free round of edits or corrections.  Any additional changes will be subject to a $15 charge per editing round.

Home Access

If we can meet someone at the property or have direct access to the home, there will be no additional charges.  If one of our professionals has to make a special trip to pick up the key, there may be a small additional charge.  We can arrange lockbox access if desired.

DRAW MY HOME will gladly work with anyone who has a pre-existing floor plan; we have worked with people all over the country!  However, we are based in Northern Virginia and when we need to visit the property, we serve the following locations: Alexandria, Annandale, Arlington, Ashburn, Burke, Centreville, Chantilly, Clifton, Fairfax, Falls Church, Great Falls, Herndon, Leesburg, McLean, Oakton, Reston, Sterling, Springfield, and Vienna.  Washington D.C., Prince William, Western Loudoun, and Montgomery County, MD, are available for an additional fee.  DRAW MY HOME will work with you to best meet your marketing needs!
